90-Ball Bingo

February 24, 2006

The Bingo League's online product intends to include live web-cast ball calling, interactive chat and a new variation of progressive jackpot along with the UK style 90-ball bingo game. Since the inception of bingo gaming on the Internet, American-style 75-ball bingo games have largely dominated the virtual landscape. The just-launched Blackpool Bingo is out to change that. Targeting the bingo-loving UK demographic, Blackpool Bingo is offering British-style 90-ball bingo games to its online bingo players. As the 90-ball version of bingo had been around in land-based bingo halls for decades, Blackpool Bingo saw no reason that the game shouldn't proliferate online as well. Marketing itself as "the new quintessentially British online bingo location," Blackpool Bingo emphasizes the social and community aspects of the game with a completely detachable chat window. For those who wish to take a break from bingo from time to time, Blackpool Bingo is also offering slots, keno, and video poker to its online gamers.

The Spanish Club at BCU decided that bingo would provide a fun and casual way to promote bilingualism and Hispanic culture, and to get university students as well as Iowa locals to feel comfortable in a bilingual environment. While the bingo players won't have the chance to win "mucho dinero," the club does plan to award a prize to the winner of each bingo game played. Parlay Entertainment gets its income from from licensing software to other companies, charging installation fees, and providing technical support to its clients. Among some of the company's third quarter achievements were the addition of new brands to their St. Minver online bingo network that targets the Spanish-speaking marketplace, the addition of Caliente, a new software licensee that launched Spanish-language website ebingocaliente to target the Mexican bingo marketplace, and profiting from the launch of new 90-number bingo sites by four of its existing UK licensees.

Understandably proud of his company's success, Parlay Entertainment President and CEO Scott F. White said that the third quarter revenue gain "reflects the growing major new advantage of the bingo software for Parlay operators is increased profit-making opportunities as a result of the aforementioned streamlined user interface. Furthermore, the new bingo technology makes it substantially easier to manage player recruitment, track distributed award bonuses, and monitor bingo chat room activities. Commenting on the improved software features, Perry Malone, CTO of Parlay Entertainment Inc., said that "we've made it easier for bingo operators to manage their business by enhancing our back-end functionality, especially in the areas of scheduling, reporting, bonusing and chat management."

Yahoo! UK & Ireland is announcing the launch of bingo on the St. Minver's online bingo network. The network uses Parlay's online bingo software to offer 75-number and 90-number online bingo. By adding Yahoo! to the St. Minver's network, the network will become the UK's most played network. St. Minver's Business Development Director, David Kicks, said that "The addition of what is arguably the world's number one online brand and portal as a partner in the St. Minver bingo network, confirms us as the leading online bingo network in Europe."
