In a sad move, Spirit Mountain Casino, the state of Oregon's largest bingo gambling establishment, has closed down its bingo hall because people yell bingo when they win. Citing a desire to introduce yet another slot machine parlor to the gambling complex, casino officials seem to be more interested in their venue's bottom line than the satisfaction of their clientele. Bingo patrons, who for years attended daily and weekly bingo games at the Oregon casino, expressed great sorrow over the loss of their favorite bingomania.
Microsoft chose none other than Parlay, the world's most established Internet bingo solutions provider, to partner with in the bingo venture. The third member to benefit from the the bingo deal is bingos.co.uk. The online bingo site will now serve as a platform for a flood of new players from the voluminous existing MSN Games player base. Both American-style 75-number bingo and the 90-number version of bingo favored by the British will be offered in the new joint bingo venture.
Two gun-toting masked robbers failed to steal the proceeds of Sacred Heart Church's weekly bingo game and fled the scene. One of the men, described as being 5-feet, 5-inches tall and about 160 pounds, entered the church gymnasium shortly before 11pm and ordered the bingo volunteers - a mother and her three children - to the ground, Hollister Police Information Officer George Ramirez said. The man was carrying a rifle or shotgun and a red mask covered his face. Another masked man, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, stood outside the gym door watching for police, Ramirez said. The man then tried to kick in the door of the bingo room he thought contained the church's safe and bingo money, but fled the scene with his lookout shortly after discovering that the safe was not in the room, Ramirez said. The mother and her school-age children, who were putting away tables after bingo night, were not injured and no shots were fired, Ramirez said. Police are searching for both men.
Congratulations to the 16 bingo winners in January. Easterling was last seen at the Bingo City on Route 17 in York County on Saturday at 3:30 in the morning. She was seen leaving the bingo game with several people, but it is unknown if she rode or walked away from the premises. She has been known to walk from the game home on several occasions, after playing bingo with her friends.
